This session will include a review of the Quality Incentive Payment calculation for rate setting. Current and projected facility level key financial metrics will be reviewed. Data collected on the key performance indicators will be shared. Lessons learned and ongoing plans will be discussed.

November 21, 2024  Prevention of Urinary Tract Infections and Catheter Associated UTI

This session will explore the essential components of UTI catheter associated UTIs (CAUTIs) prevention through a comprehensive care bundle approach. Attendees will learn how care bundles can reduce incidents of UTIs, maintenance of low UTI rates over time, in-house treatment of UTIs with avoidance of resident's hospitalizations, and a reduction in antibiotic use which decreases the risk of antimicrobial resistance; and facility cost savings.
