9:15AM - State of Senior Living (Tom Meyers, Sr. Managing Director | Ziegler) - This opening session will provide attendees with an overview of the latest national trends and research on senior living. Ziegler experts will share national, state and regional examples of demographic trends, new care models, partnership and affiliation, growth strategies and expense pressures, including ways senior living providers are coping with escalating workforce costs. The trends shared in this presentation will help to frame the sessions for the rest of the day, offering the larger context in which local innovations are nested.

10:00AM - Navigating Managed Medicaid: A CFO’s Guide to Value-Based Care with Radiant Alliance (Rich Marshall, MBA, President and CEO | Genacross Lutheran Services, Anthony Evans, BSN, President of Pure Healthcare and Executive Vice President | Ohio's Hospice, Dwayne Dabbs, MBA, Senior Director, Community Transformation | CareSource) - As Managed Medicaid evolves, senior living providers face the dual challenge of adapting to value-based payment models while maintaining financial sustainability. This session, presented by members of the Radiant Alliance and CareSource, provides CFOs with a roadmap for transitioning from fee-for-service to risk-based arrangements. Attendees will explore the HCP-LAN Category Model and its practical applications, featuring case studies from Radiant’s partnerships with CareSource. Learn how Radiant Alliance empowers providers to navigate Managed Medicaid, align strategies with organizational goals, and thrive in a changing landscape.

11:15AM - Understanding Medicare Advantage & Payor Mix Impacts on Ohio Nursing Homes (Deb Emerson, CPA, RAC-CTA | CLA) - Ohio is at the front edge of states nationwide in terms of Medicare Advantage penetration, and the new administration in Washington is likely to double-down on managed care as a cost-containment measure, further accelerating this trend. In this session, attendees will learn what strategies their competitors are employing to get ahead with MA plans and what opportunities exist amid the pitfalls.

1:00PM - Navigating the New Insurance Market (Randy Renn, MBA, CEO | Caring Communities, Jake Pease, CIC, CEAL, CEHCH, Vice President | MarshMcLennan Agency, Tim Marek, ARM, CPCU Director - Senior Living | Church Mutual Insurance Company) - The cost of climate-driven crises compounded by rising cost of construction has led insurance markets to recalibrate pricing and pass these costs on to their clients: YOU. In this session, Caring Communities CEO Randy Renn will provide a state of the insurance sector before panelists share their strategies for senior living operators, including data-driven pricing models and innovations that are spilling over from consumer to commercial markets.

2:15PM - Tax Industry Update (Samantha Becker, CPA, Tax Principal and Amy Ciminello, CPA, MT, Partner | Plante Moran) - The wave of change through potential tax policy... what are we hearing, what is the process, how to plan in an uncertain environment of federal administrative changes and orders. This session will host a discussion on the tax policy focuses that may impact nonprofits and healthcare entities. Your speakers will discuss the current situation and their experiences working through uncertainty with nonprofit clients and tax-exemption status challenges. They will also discuss IRS operations and expected changes amid federal cuts.
