The revised CMS guidance for chemical restraints and psychotropic medications emphasizes the importance of protecting residents from unnecessary use of these medications while respecting their rights to be fully informed and to participate in treatment decisions. This session will explore the updates to F605 and F757, highlighting the streamlined survey process and strengthened focus on preventing convenience-driven use of psychotropic medications.
