Description for this session: Nursing homes can positively influence their facility's star rating and mitigate financial risks by obtaining past noncompliance during a survey. We'll delve into the concept of past noncompliance, wherein facilities correct past issues and achieve substantial compliance during subsequent surveys. This session will review the elements that must be met to meet past noncompliance. Additionally, attendees will glean valuable insights into best practices for effectively responding to instances of noncompliance. Don't miss this opportunity to enhance your facility's compliance strategies and improve the overall quality of care. ODH updates and current citation trends in Ohio will also be discussed

STAT Survey Tips and Tactics Series: Discover how nursing homes are being cited with their annual surveys. The Long-Term Care Survey Process and regulatory language will be reviewed. Each month will delve into a specific survey topic. Common citation examples will be given with interactive discussion from members sharing their survey experiences. Obtain useful tips and tactics for the monthly highlighted topic. Resources and other reference material will be shared.

Each webinar is a separate virtual event. Registration is required for each.

Instructions to purchase course:
  • One individual from per site location purchases course through the Learning Center.

  • Purchaser shares access information to participants and encourages participants to log into the course prior to the live webinar date.   

Substitution and Cancellation Policy: Substitutions, in writing, are welcome at no additional cost. Cancellations received by two calendar weeks prior to event date will be fully refunded. Cancellations received between 7 and 13 days prior to the event date will be refunded minus a $10 processing fee. No refunds will be issued 6 or fewer days prior to the event date.

Continuing Education Information

1.0 clock hours will be awarded upon successful completion.

Criteria for successful completion: Attendance at entire event and submission of completed evaluation form.

As stated in the Ohio Administrative Code Rule 4723-14-05, education that has been approved by a board or an agency that regulates a health care profession in Ohio or another jurisdiction is an acceptable option to meet nursing continuing education requirements.
