F-tag 695, which covers respiratory and tracheostomy care as well as suctioning, has risen to become the seventh most frequently cited F-tag during annual surveys in Ohio. This trend highlights the increasing scrutiny on facilities' ability to provide adequate respiratory care and the complexities involved in maintaining compliance. Costing trends based on the most recent Medicaid cost report data available will be provided. The impact of HB 33 as it relates to the 4 additional quality measures to be effective on July 1, 2024 will be reviewed along with the Private Room add-on. This education will greatly benefit all new hospice nurses, social workers, chaplains and volunteer and bereavement coordinators, not to mention being a good refresher for all seasoned front-line staff.
